About

I’m Andrea, and have been a stay-at-home mom since 2004 when my first daughter, Taylor, was born.  A few years later, her little sister Emily came along, and we were done.  Except we weren’t.  Several years after Emily was born, we decided to try to have one more little one.  Michael was born about 10 months later.  I’m happily married to the boy I met when I was 16 years old at my first job at a yogurt shop.  He’s been stuck with me ever since.

I saw a “World’s Okayest Mom” mug for the first time recently, and it resonated with me.  While still allowing room for personal growth, and being open to new ideas and experiences, I like being just okay.   Not “okay” as in an excuse for mediocrity, but “okay” as in, we all do the best we can in our personal lives, and as parents, but none of us are perfect and that’s normal, and okay.

Before starting my mommy journey, I worked for a local HR company, which I gladly quit once Taylor arrived.  I was a pretty good tennis player back in the day, and occasionally I find the time (and the hitting partner) to get on the court to rally a little.  I love being crafty, and passionately hate cleaning (fantastic attribute for a SAHM), but I do it because I don’t have a maid and I don’t want to be be on an episode of Hoarders.
